Natures Best Photography Africa 2015

I am very proud to announce that I have won the “African Landscape” category in the 2015 edition of the “Nature’s Best Photography Africa” awards. Together with achieving this award, I had another 4 images awarded as highly commended in the “African Landscape” category, as well as a highly commended image in the “Wild Cats Of Africa” category. Out of 6500 entries, I am very pleased with the success of my photography in this competition.

I travelled to Cape Town with my wife to attend the Gala Evening on June 23, 2015 at the Iziko Museum to receive my certificates and view the beautiful gallery showcasing all 72 of the winning and commended images.

Below is the photograph that was awarded as winner in the "African Landscapes" category. More info on the other winning images can be found here.

The Blyde River Canyon is the worlds largest "green" canyon, meaning the largest canyon with flora growing inside. It hosts many amazing species, including aloes growing on the edges of cliffs seen here on a mid-summer evening.
