Botswana is one of my favourite countries for photography. Apart from the incredible beauty of the Okavango Delta and its wildlife, the Savuti and Chobe areas, Botswana has landscapes like no other found anywhere on Earth. The Makgadikgadi Salt Pans being one such area. These pans are amongst some of the largest, flattest places on the whole Earth, and can be seen from outer space. The salt pan is all that remains from the formerly enormous Lake Makgadikgadi, which dried up many thousands of years ago. Large, granite rocky islands dot the landscape, large Baobab trees stand tall, forming just about the most astonishing place I have ever travelled to.
